Kim Kardashian, Diplo and more try celebrity face app Gradient
The hottest luxury and A List news
Another day, another viral face app. An app called Gradient is swiftly taking over the Internet for its new celebrity comparison feature, which deduces which star a user looks like (with varying results).
The app is gaining in popularity after being used by the likes of Kim Kardashian West, Diplo and Jimmy Kimmel.
Some celebrities, like the Kardashians and Alexandra Daddario, also hinted that they were promoting the app as part of a sponsorship deal by hashtagging #ad and #gradientpartner at the end of their Instagram posts.
For more on what Gradient is and which celebrities have tried it, read on.
What is the Gradient app?
Gradient is a photo editing app which has recently launched a brand new feature called Who's Your Twin? Several celebrities, including the Kardashians and music producer Diplo, have joined the app to discover who their famous doppelgangers are - with mixed results.
Users can join the app for free for three days to try out its photo editing features, or just discover which celebrity they look like. However, Gradient will take your payment details in order for you to download the app and while it won't charge you initially, it will charge you after your free trial expires.
How to use the Gradient app
After you've downloaded Gradient from your app store of choice, it will open up to reveal several options which include Edit, Fun and the Who's Your Twin feature. If you click on Who's Your Twin, then you can upload a picture of yourself and the app will figure out who your likeness is before revealing a downloadable photo of you and your celebrity twin.

Celebrities using Gradient
The Kardashian family were the first to use the Gradient app en masse, with sisters Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian all trying it out. Others including Jimmy Kimmel and Alexandra Daddario have also since joined in.
Kim revealed that she looks like the singer Cher.
Kourtney shared her own Gradient app results, revealing the app had calculated that she looks liked golden age celeb Audrey Hepburn.
Khloe was yet another Kardashian family member to use the app, with the picture revealing she bore a fitting resemblance to her mother Kris Jenner.
Beauty entrepreneur Kylie Jenner also shared her Gradient results, which showed she looked just like her sister Kendall and close friend Anastasia 'Stassie Baby' Karanikolaou.
Disick loved Gradient so much he tried it not once, but several times to varying results. He got Jared Leto, Brad Pitt and finally... himself.
Daddario disclosed that she was a #gradientpartner on Instagram and revealed three of her celebrity Doppelgangers. She was compared to singer Billie Eilish, SNL cast member Kate McKinnon and - amazingly - Joker actor Joaquin Phoenix.
Not even her celebrity followers could handle the Phoenix comparison, as iZombie's Rahul Kohli responded, "JOAQUIN!!?"
The music producer gave the app a go and was remixed into Old Town Road singer Lil Nas X.
Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was transformed into his 'nemesis' Matt Damon. Given their years-long rivalry it wouldn't be a surprise if this was a photoshopped spoof rather than a legitimate Gradient result.
Brody Jenner, the half-brother of Kylie and Kendall Jenner, also joined in. The Hills star tried it several times and was compared to Keanu Reeves, Zac Efron and Ben Affleck's brother Casey.
